Sending flowers to Webbers Falls
Webbers Falls is one of the oldest communities in the area. It is named for Walter Webber, a Western Cherokee leader who set up a trading post near the falls on the Arkansas River in 1828. The town sits along US 64 and State Highway 100, and the river is still part of daily life.
The Webbers Falls Museum (opens in a new tab) keeps local history, including a Civil War era salt kettle from one of the old salt works. The First Baptist Church dates to 1882, one of the oldest Baptist congregations in what was Indian Territory.
Webbers Falls is about half an hour from Muskogee. Call and ask the florist whether delivery is available, and what it costs. For church services or cemetery visits, tell the florist the place and time.
