Sending flowers to Eufaula
Eufaula is the county seat of McIntosh County, at the crossing of US 69 and State Highway 9. The town took shape around a Katy railroad stop in 1872 and was named for a Muscogee tribal town in Alabama. Its newspaper, the Indian Journal, is the oldest continuously published newspaper in Oklahoma.
Today Eufaula is best known for Lake Eufaula, the largest lake entirely in Oklahoma, and many families visit for weekends on the water. Lake Eufaula State Park (opens in a new tab) is nearby, and the City of Eufaula (opens in a new tab) posts local news.
Eufaula is about 40 minutes south of Muskogee on US 69. Delivery that far depends on the florist, so call and ask. If they do not deliver to Eufaula, they may suggest a pickup in Muskogee.
