Sending flowers to Council Hill
Council Hill is a small town south of Muskogee, near the line between Muskogee and McIntosh counties. It takes its name from a landmark hill to the west where the Muscogee (Creek) Nation once held council, an important place in the tribe's history after removal. The Muscogee Nation website (opens in a new tab) covers more of that history.
The town's Methodist church, built in 1907 with a bell tower, is one of its oldest buildings. Like many small towns in the county, Council Hill has close-knit families and church communities, and flowers often mark the big moments.
Council Hill is rural and about 40 minutes from Muskogee. Call and ask the florist about delivery, and have a phone number for the recipient ready for country roads.
