Getting flowers to the right place
In Muskogee and the small towns around it, a lot of funerals happen in the sanctuary where the person was baptized, married or sang in the choir for decades. The visitation may be at a funeral home the night before, and the service the next morning at the church. That matters for flowers.
When you call, tell the florist both places and both times. They can deliver to the church before the service starts, or to the funeral home so the flowers move with the family. If you are not sure, the obituary or the funeral home can tell you.
Churches sometimes have their own guidelines, like keeping flowers off the altar or leaving space for the choir. Ask the church office if you are planning several pieces. For flowers that stay at a church on Sundays, see church altar flowers.
