Spring arrives at church

On Easter Sunday, many Muskogee churches fill the front with white Easter lilies, often dedicated by members in memory of family. If your church does this, check with the office about how they handle orders. See church altar flowers.

At home, Easter is a good time for spring flowers. Tulips, daffodils, hyacinths and pastel roses all look right on the table. Easter falls on a different date each year, sometimes late March, sometimes late April, so it can overlap with the Azalea Festival.

One warning: Easter lilies are very dangerous to cats. Even a little pollen can cause kidney failure. If there are cats in the home, choose another flower. See our lilies and cats guide.
