Fall colors on the table
Thanksgiving is one of the biggest days of the year for family tables in Muskogee. A low centerpiece in rust, gold and deep red sets the tone, and it is a lot easier than building one yourself the night before.
If you are a guest, flowers for the host are a kind gesture. Send them a day or two ahead so they are not juggling a delivery while the turkey is in the oven. If family is spread out, ordering for a parent's table from out of state is common. See our out of state guide.
Keep centerpieces low enough to see over, and skip heavy scent near food. Mums, sunflowers, roses in fall tones and seeded eucalyptus all work well. Our fall flowers page has more ideas.
