Flowers for nurses and teachers in May

Nurses Week and Teacher Appreciation Week both fall in early May. Call and send flowers to a classroom or a nurses' station.

Muskogee Flowers is a free referral line. Your order is taken, arranged and delivered by an independent local florist.

Thank the people who take care of us

National Nurses Week runs May 6 to 12 each year, ending on Florence Nightingale's birthday. Teacher Appreciation Week is usually the first full week of May. Both are good times to thank someone who made a difference, at Saint Francis Hospital Muskogee, the VA or a Muskogee classroom.

For nurses, think about the unit. A nurses' station may be busy, so a compact arrangement or a plant that does not need attention is best. Check with the unit first, since some areas limit flowers.

For teachers, a small bouquet or plant on the desk is a classic. Schools may have rules about deliveries during the day, so check with the front office. A class can also pitch in for one larger arrangement.
